Australia captain Tim Paine has got an identity for his unique sledging behind the stumps. He tries not to get offensive but makes sure the words do enough to distract the batsman.
The Aussie wicket-keeper has been involved in many banters in recent time. He even had a go at Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant when India toured Australia.
Paine's latest comment which made it to social media was during the first day of opening Test between Australia and Pakistan. He passed a comment to Mohammad Rizwan when Nathan Lyon was bowling in 46th over.
The Aussie skipper complimented Rizwan and said, "He smells very nice." Paine also asked Rizwan to hit Lyon for a boundary with a sweep shot.
Rizwan eventually got dismissed for 37 runs off Pat Cummins. It was a controversial call as it seemed like the third umpire didn't give a correct decision on the no-ball.
