Indian women’s team suffered a heartbreaking three-run defeat at the hands of Australia in the second ODI.
During the match, Indian fielders dropped as many as seven catches, which left skipper Harmanpreet Kaur furious.
Phoebe Litchfield was the top scorer for Australia with 63, but she was dropped by Amanjot Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Yastika Bhatia during her knock. Ellyse Perry was the second top scorer for the visitors with 50. Her catch was also put down by Sneh Rana in the follow-through.
The problems in the field persisted for India in the latter half of the Australian innings as Mandhana dropped her second catch of the day, followed by captain Harmanpreet herself.
However, Harmanpreet wasn’t pleased one bit when Deepti Sharma spilled the seventh catching opportunity of the day for India on the field.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Kaur can be seen giving angry expressions after Deepti dropped a catch to give reprieve to Alana King.

Coming to the match, Australia posted 258/8 on the board on the back of half-centuries from Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry.
In reply, Richa Ghosh played a brilliant knock of 96 while Jemimah Rodrigues made a crucial contribution of 44 but other batters failed to make a mark as India managed 255/8 in their allotted 50 overs.
