The three-match T20I series between India and England is due to get underway on December 6.
Left-arm spinner Saika Ishque, who left a lasting impression in the inaugural edition of Women's Premier League, has been named in the WT20I squad.
The squad for the shortest format comprised mostly of those who featured in the Hangzhou Asian Games and brought gold medal for India.
Seasoned campaigners like skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and her deputy Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma and Puja Vastrakar are part of the side. The selectors have also picked rookies like Mannat Kashyap, Kanika Ahuja, Shreyanka Patil and Titas Sadhu.
The Test team doesn't have too many surprises as talented pacer Sadhu, whom many consider a worthy successor of Jhulan Goswami, has been included alongside Karnataka left-hander Shubha Satheesh, who was rewarded for her gritty batting in National One Dayers.
The three-match T20I series between India and England will be played from December 6 to December 10 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while the one-off Test match will take place in DY Patil Sports Academy from December 14 to December 17.
India’s solitary Test match against Australia is scheduled to be held at the Wankhede Stadium from December 21 to December 24.
