T20 World Cup 2023: WATCH - Shafali Verma pulls off Virat Kohli-like celebration; yells at Beth Mooney after taking her catch

Star India batter Virat Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve whenever he steps foot onto the cricket field. His aggression and competitiveness on the field is known across the globe.

On Thursday (February 23), Indian women’s cricket team opener Shafali Verma did a Virat Kohli during the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 semi-final against Australia in Cape Town.

Opting to bat first, Australia got off to a brilliant start as the duo of Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy put up a 52-run stand. Radha Yadav drew the first blood for India by dismissing Healy on 25.

There was an opportunity to get rid of Mooney but Shafali dropped an easy catch to give her a lifeline.

However, Shafali Verma soon got the chance to rectify her mistake as she grabbed Mooney’s catch in the 12th over to send her packing. After completing the catch, a pumped up Shafali yelled at the departing batter in what was a fiery reaction.
