Despite a few early wickets, Pakistan managed to put up 137/6 in 20 overs with Nida Dar making 56* in 37 balls, while skipper Maroof made 32 in 35 balls. For India, Deepti Sharma picked 3/27, while Pooja Vastrakar took 2/23.
In reply, Pakistan managed to control the Indian batters with regular wickets of big names like Smriti Mandhana (17), Jemimah Rodrigues (2), Deepti Sharma (16), and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (12). Only Dayalan Hemalatha (20) and Richa Ghosh (26 with 3 sixes and one four) went past the 20-run mark for India.
India women could only muster 124 runs in 19.4 overs which was only possible due to Ghosh’s big blows in the last few overs blasting, as Pakistan won by 13 runs.
For Pakistan, Nashra Sandhu took three wickets, while Sadia Iqbal and Nida Dar picked two scalps each. Nida Dar was picked the Player of the Match for her unbeaten fifty and contribution with the ball.
