India completed a historic 3-0 sweep of the ODI series in England after winning the final game by 16 runs at Lord's. Jhulan Goswami's farewell series turned out to be one to remember as promised by her teammates while the veteran seamer also finished on a high note picking up a couple of wickets, including one in her final over.

England won the toss and chose to bowl first as India were reduced to 29/4 by Kate Cross who bowled superbly to finish with 4-26. Smriti Mandhana (50), Deepti Sharma (68*) and Pooja Vastrakar (22) then led a fightback from India before being bowled out for 169 in the 46th over.

Defending a moderate score, India needed early wickets and that's what Renuka Thakur ensured as the hosts were reduced to 43/4 before tumbling further to be 65/7. Skipper Amy Jones (28) added a partnership of 38 with Charlie Deans to bring England's innings back on track somewhat.

Jhulan returned into the attack to bowl her final spell and picked up Cross' wicket in her last over to finish with 2/30 in her 10 overs and 255 wickets overall in the format. She took a total of 355 wickets in all international cricket for India.

With 52 needed and one wicket remaining it looked like India would win easily but that wasn't the case as Dean and Freya Davies dug in hard and added 35 runs for the final wicket before the former was run out after backing up too far too soon at the non-striker's end by Deepti Sharma. The mode of dismissal has caused debate on social media but it's perfectly legal as per MCC's laws of the game.
