The four matches of the event are likely to be held in Sharjah.
England Women stars Danni Wyatt and Sophie Ecclestone would be among the top overseas players to feature in the much-awaited Women’s T20 Challenger Series which is also known as Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Wyatt and Ecclestone, two top women cricketers from England, who both appeared in the 2019 edition of the Women’s T20 Challenger series, are expected to participate in the upcoming WIPL 2020 after England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) expressed its willingness to issue No Objection Certificates (NOC), provided it is satisfied with the COVID-19 protocols in the UAE.
Apart from the two stars, Fran Wilson, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Sophia Dunkley, Anya Shrubsole and Kate Cross are other England women players who are likely to feature in the three-team tournament.

According to a report in ESPNCricinfo, the ECB has no problem in allowing its players to feature in India's Women's T20 Challenger series set to be held from November 4 to 9 during the ongoing men’s IPL 2020 playoffs week and will sign NOCs assuming it is satisfied with the COVID-19 protocols in place.
However, the BCCI is yet to make any formal announcements on the fixtures or quarantine requirements for the WIPL 2020, but is likely to stage the event from November 4-9 and plans to involve overseas players in the tournament despite the clash with the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) starting on 25th October.
Noteworthy, it is being said that Women players are expected to fly out to the UAE by the second week of October and will undergo a six-day mandatory quarantine period on arrival at the team hotel during which tests would be carried out on days one, three and five.
The Women’s IPL 2020 will be played in a round robin league format along with the final with Sharjah likely to host the tournament.
