The first semi-final of the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2020 is seeing arch-rivals India and Pakistan taking on each other for a spot in the finals. Though Pakistan enjoys a 5-4 lead in the history of the tournament, India has beaten them in the last three encounters.

Meanwhile, Pakistan chose to bat first after Rohail Nazir won the toss. Both teams went in unchanged, but India had the early laugh removing Huraira and Munir early. Haider Ali made 56, while Rohail Nazir made a half-century. Both were looking good and their 60 odd runs partnership looked to put their team in a good position.

But Haider fell to Jaiswal and then came one of the most comical dismissals in Qasim Akram’s run out. Qasim tapped leggie Bishnoi to the offside and called Nazir for a run. The captain started to respond but turned his back on his partner once he saw Ankolekar sweeping in down on the ball. This left both the batsmen at the bowler’s end, while Jurel removed the bails at the other.

Here is the video of the run out:

Meanwhile, amidst this melee, Bishnoi was not happy with Qasim being run out, as he wanted Nazir to be dismissed, but the replays showed that Nazir had made his ground at bowler’s end first. Twitterverse had a lot of fun on Bishnoi’s annoyed reaction at the runout and we have some tweets for you.
