Team India landed in Delhi in the wee hours of Thursday morning after the T20 World Cup triumph.
Team India finally reached home as their flight landed in the wee hours of Thursday (July 4) morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
The Men in Blue won the T20 World Cup 2024 last Saturday by beating South Africa in the final, but were stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl as their scheduled flight was cancelled.
Rohit Sharma’s team was forced to stay back in Hotel Hilton for three more days due to adverse weather conditions, which forced the authorities to shut down air travel.
After things improved a bit, the triumphant Indian team left the Caribbean island on Wednesday (July 3) on a chartered flight arranged by the BCCI.
Upon their arrival at the Delhi airport, the T20 World Champions received a rousing reception from the fans. The Indian team touch down the national captain at 6:20 AM and immediately left for the team hotel, ITC Maurya in Chankyapuri.
At the hotel, the Indian squad was welcomed with another round of cheers but the thing which caught everyone's attention was the arrangement of dhol.
Hearing the beats of dhol, the duo of Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya could not control their excitement and shook their legs with the dancers.

After getting fresh at the hotel, Team India will head to the Prime Minister’s residence, where they will be felicitated by PM Narendra Modi. They will then fly to Mumbai for an open-bus parade to celebrate the T20 World Cup triumph.
