The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, one of the three venues in USA for the ongoing T20 World Cup, is set to be demolished.

In a video uploaded by ANI on social media, bulldozers could be seen parked at the venue, set to carry out the demolition job of the temporary stadium that had a seating capacity of 34,000.

The Nassau County ground in New York hosted as many as eight games. India played three of their Group A matches at this venue, including the high-voltage fixture against arch-rivals Pakistan.

India's match against co-hosts USA on Wednesday (June 12) was the last game to be played at the stadium.

Scenes from inside the venue at the end of India's match against USA also showed preparations on to wind things up at the stadium.

The pop-up stadium in New York, which was constructed in just 106 days at the Eisenhower Park premises in Nassau County, is likely to take six weeks to be dismantled. The work got underway on Wednesday.

USA staged 16 matches in the group-stage along with fellow tournament hosts West Indies. Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida are the two other tournament venues in the United States.

All matches of the Super 8 round in addition to semi-finals and final will be held in the Caribbean islands. Barbados will host the title clash on June 29.
