Dale Steyn is widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time. During his illustrious career, the former Proteas pacer took 699 international wickets.
In particular, Steyn was a beast in Tests, returning with 439 scalps from 93 matches at an average of 22.95 and a strike rate of 42.3, including 26 five-wicket hauls. He was instrumental in South Africa’s dominance in the longest format from 2008 to 2014.
However, in the United States, the co-host for the ongoing Men’s T20 World Cup, Dale Steyn found himself in an amusing situation.
Steyn came across a staff member who was unaware of his identity and offered the South African great some bowling advice.
The staff instructed Steyn to refrain from bending his arm while bowling, stressing that such an action is not allowed in cricket. Moreover, he provided guidance to the legendary pacer, explaining that the ball must make contact with the ground once before reaching the batter.
Steyn, who seemed to have enjoyed the bowling tips and didn't reveal his identity, himself shared the video on his official Instagram account, much to the enjoyment of the fans.
