USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first. Navneet Dhaliwal (61), and Nicholas Kirton (51) starred with the bat, while Shreyas Movva (32) contributed as well as Canada posted 194/5 in 20 overs.
In response, opener Steven Taylor was out for a duck, and skipper Patel made 16 runs. However, Andries Gous (65 in 46 balls) and Aaron Jones added 131 runs for the third wicket to take USA to victory.
Jones proved to be the star as he slammed 10 sixes and 4 fours in his 40-ball 94* knock, and the USA completed the target with 7 wickets in hand and 14 balls to spare. Jones was named the Player of the Match.
