Former Team India coach Ravi Shastri heaped praise on Surykumar Yadav for his superlative batting and hitting ability across the park, as the star batter is making the bowler's job harder with his batting expertise in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Suryakumar is currently in sublime form in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, where the right-hander has so far scored 164 runs in four matches at an average of 54.67 and strike rate of 180.22.

He played a key role in Team India’s three wins so far in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Hailing the middle-order batter, Shastri labeled Suryakumar as a proper 360-degree player and said that he is someone who can puncture any part of the ground.

As reported by India Today, Ravi Shastri said: “You don't get too many players who can hit spots the way he does. Just watching the way he moves and the areas he tries to hit, he is a proper 360 degree player.”

The former captain added, “He can play all three formats of the game and the reason I say that is that he is different. He hits it into unusual areas, he gets into unusual positions and it is literally a challenge to the bowler as to where he can bowl. He is someone who can puncture any part of the ground.”

Shastri signed off by saying, “He is lighting up this World Cup and he is playing shots which 10 years ago no one would have imagined. His great ability is to read what length the bowler is bowling, he anticipates early and he backs himself and very few players go out with that kind of mindset.”
