Pakistani keeper-batter Kamran Akmal lauded the Indian team and especially Virat Kohli after the Men in Blue defeated Pakistan in a thrilling T20 World Cup 2022 encounter in Melbourne on Sunday, October 23.

Taking the world-class bowling attack of Pakistan to the cleaners in the last three overs, Kohli made 82* in 53 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes as India won the match in the last over by 4 wickets. He and Hardik Pandya (40) added 113 runs for the 5th wicket after India was reduced to 31/4 in 6 overs and then Kohli unleashed his big strokes in the last 18 balls to take India home.

Raving about ‘King Kohli’ on his official YouTube channel, Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal ended up making a noteworthy statement about the crestfallen Pakistani side.

T20 World Cup 2022: “Really think some spirit went inside him that day,” Ashwin in awe of Kohli’s knock vs Pakistan

He said if this was the Men in Green batters in such a chase, Pakistan would have lost by 30-40 runs unlike how Kohli took India home.

"If there was any other batter in his place, the match would not have come this far. Honestly, if this was our (Pakistan) batting we would have lost it by 30-40 runs. We can't handle such pressure. I think all our young boys (in Pakistan) who are playing in U15 and U19 camps should be shown the entire innings of Virat Kohli. They will get coaching from watching his innings and how he finished the match," Akmal said on his YouTube channel.

With this unbelievable knock, Kohli also became the highest run-getter in T20I cricket overall.
