Chasing 160 to win, Virat Kohli unleashed an amazing array of strokes after he and Hardik Pandya (40) had added 113 runs for the 5th wicket and recovered the Indian innings from 45/4 in 10 overs. With 48 runs needed in the last three overs, Kohli let himself free and even the best Pakistani bowlers were hammered all over the MCG ground.
India won the match by 4 wickets in the end, with Kohli hitting 6 fours and 4 sixes in his 53-ball 82* knock. He was named the Player of the Match as well.
When Kohli came on the sidelines for an interview, Irfan Pathan, who is part of the Star Sports commentary team, could not control his excitement as he lifted up the man of the moment in a bear hug.
