The final 4 spots of the Super 12 are now confirmed.
As the first round of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 concluded on Friday (October 21), the four teams who progressed to the 'Super 12' stage of the tournament were decided with Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Zimbabwe and Ireland qualifying. All four teams won two of their three games respectively.
Two-time winners West Indies, Scotland, Namibia and UAE were eliminated after winning just one of their three games each. In what was an exciting round of 12 matches over six days, seven of the eight teams were in contention until their final match.
The Super 12 round, where the twelve teams are divided into two groups of six teams each, will begin on Saturday with finalists of previous edition Australia and New Zealand taking on each other.
