T20 World Cup 2022: WATCH- Akeal Hosein reacts in astonishment as Rovman Powell’s 104m six goes out of ground

West Indies scored 153/7 batting first against Zimbabwe in a must-win game for them.

West Indies batters Akeal Hosein and Rovman Powell were left shocked after Powell smacked a 104-meter six which went out of the stadium in their T20 World Cup 2022 qualifying match against Zimbabwe at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on October 19, 2022.

The Nicholas Pooran-led side, who lost their first match to Scotland, managed to post a fighting total of 153/7 on the board batting first against Zimbabwe.

Opener Johnson Chares top-scored with a knock of 45, but the real impetus to their innings came from the willows of Rovman Powell (28) and Akeal Hosein (23*), who helped the team get past the 150-run mark.

Powel hit two sixes during his stay in the middle and reminded cricket fans of his immense ability with a bat in hand. One of those sixes was a 104m monster of a shot that went outside the ground itself.

The massive hit, over the deep square leg region, left Rovman's teammate Akeal Hosein completely shocked. Powell himself had his hand on his head seeing the ball sail over the boundary ropes into the night sky.
