Suryakumar Yadav returned to headlines after scoring a fifty and then being dismissed in bizarre fashion during Team India’s first official warm-up match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 against Australia at The Gabba on Monday (October 17). He's now trending on social media after chirping something unexpected on the crease.

India’s talismanic batter has been in great form with the bat for a long time, and he continued his sublime form in the warm-up match against Australia as well, as the right-hander smashed yet another fifty to help India beat the world champions by 6 runs at The Gabba on Monday.

Well, before losing his wicket to Kane Richardson just after completing his fifty, Suryakumar was caught on the stump mic saying he was not in the mood to bat aggressively today, which left fans in splits. His exact words were, "Maarne ka mood nahi ho raha hai yaar,".

Following his savage statement, Suryakumar got out on the very next ball he faced while playing a slower full toss delivery off Richardson, who took a simple return catch to send the batter back to the pavilion. Following Surya’s wicket, even Richardson broke into laughter.
