Whether Jasprit Bumrah will play in the T20 World Cup 2022 or not, the question mark still hangs as further updates are being revealed. In the latest of all, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has said that the pace bowler is not ruled out of the tournament yet.

Bumrah complained of back pain during a practice session ahead of the first T20I against South Africa and didn’t travel to Trivandrum with the team. Later it was reported by PTI, that Team India medical staff has sent the fast bowler to NCA where the doctors are going to diagnose the severity of the injury, which is said to be a stress fracture to the back.

He was replaced by Mohammed Siraj in the South Africa T20Is, while a replacement is yet to be named for the T20 World Cup 2022, but Mohammad Shami is the front-runner as he was named as one of the reserves for the tournament, along with Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, and Ravi Bishnoi.
