India will face each other in the Asia Cup before the T20 World Cup 2022.
As the preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 begin, the talks about the mega event to be held in Australia in October-November have already begun among the cricket fraternity.
Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar recently shared his opinion on the high-octane clash between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan at the T20 World Cup 2022.
Notably, Pakistan thrashed India by 10 wickets in their last meeting in the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai.
Well, the old foes are set to face off on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in a group stage match of the T20 World Cup 2022, and Akhtar said it will be tough for the Men in Green to outclass the Men in Blue in the tournament this year.
Shoaib Akhtar was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan: “India will come up with proper planning this time around. It will not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in T20 WC this time.”
On being asked to predict the result of the much-anticipated match of the T20 World Cup 2022, the 46-year-old said: “Predicting match results now is quite difficult but Pakistan should bowl second as [the] pitch in Melbourne offers bounce to fast bowlers.”
He signed off by saying, “I believe the crowd will be bigger this time. Around 150,000 fans will watch the match line in Melbourne. Out of which, 70,000 will be Indian supporters.”
