Dwayne Bravo played his last international match for West Indies against Australia.
West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo played his last international match against Australia in the T20 World Cup 2021 on Saturday (November 6). Although West Indies lost the match by 8 wickets, it didn't affect the reception Bravo received after the match.
Bravo was given a guard of honor by his West Indies teammates when he walked out to the field after the mid-innings break. He also received one from the Australian players after the match at the Zayed International Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Australia's batter David Warner was also seen doing the 'Champion Dance' with Bravo before they hugged each other. The moment was posted by the official Instagram account of ICC.
"Respect for two legends shown by both teams ❤️," wrote the ICC on social media. Chris Gayle was also seen walking with Bravo although he hasn't announced his retirement from international cricket yet.
After West Indies got eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2021, Bravo had announced that he will bid adieu to international cricket. “I think the time has come,” the 38-year-old had said ICC’s post-match show on Facebook. "I’ve had a very good career … had some ups and downs, but as I look back at it, I’m very grateful to represent the region and the Caribbean people for so long."
