ICC posted the video on Instagram and asked Glenn Maxwell to name the shot.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday (October 28) posted a video of Australia's Glenn Maxwell playing a bizarre shot while batting in the practice session. Maxwell is popular for his unorthodox cricketing shots but this time he surprised everyone with a never-seen-before shot.
In the video, Maxwell was seen playing an unusual paddle shot back of the leg. The official Instagram account of ICC shared the video and asked Maxwell to name the shot.

"What do you call this one, @gmaxi_32?," the caption read on the post. A few fans came up with suggestions in the comment section. A fan wrote, "Mistake, maybe?", while another commented, "The Ulta Cut".
There were funny captions for the video as well. "When the non striker is on 99 and you don't want a wide," wrote an Instagram user.
Maxwell had a terrific IPL 2021 for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as he ended the season with 513 runs, the most by an RCB batter this edition. But he hasn't been able to repeat the same performance in T20 World Cup 2021 so far.
The 33-year-old scored 18 runs against South Africa, and 5 runs against Sri Lanka, although Australia won both matches comfortably.
