India and Pakistan will face each other in the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup 2021 on October 24.
The hype around the India and Pakistan's clash in T20 World Cup 2021 is getting intense with every passing day. While India looks strong on paper, Pakistan can't be counted out especially when it's the shortest format where the game's momentum shifts in an over.
Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan has named his playing eleven for Team India to take on Pakistan in a show on Star Sports. He picked Varun Chakravarthy as the only frontline spinner while Ravindra Jadeja was included as an all-rounder.
Pathan picked KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma for the opening spot, and even India captain Virat Kohli had confirmed they will go with the same pair in the tournament. Kohli will be batting on number 3, and Suryakumar Yadav at 4 in the ex-India cricketer's team.

The 36-year-old selected Rishabh Pant for the wicket-keeping role and number 5 batter in his batting line-up. Even Hardik Pandya found a spot in his eleven despite his unavailability with the ball.
Pathan's bowling line-up included three pacers; Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. All three of them were part of the team in the warm-up matches against England and Australia.
R Ashwin couldn't find a place in the playing eleven in Pathan's playing eleven against Pakistan which is scheduled to be played on October 24.
