Ireland fast bowler Curtis Campher created history as he not only picked a hat-trick in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 match against the Netherlands in Abu Dhabi but went on to pick four wickets in four balls.

Netherlands captain Pieter Seelar won the toss and chose to bat first. Opener Max O’Dowd held one end together, while wickets fell like nine pins at the other end. Things came to a head in the 10th over when Curtis Campher ran through the Netherlands middle order in just one over.

He removed Colin Ackermann for 11 and then picked up Ryan ten Doeschate and Scott Edwards in the next two balls to take a hat-trick, becoming only the second bowler after Brett Lee to achieve the feat in the T20 World Cup tournament.

But he then removed Roelof van der Merwe the very next ball to make it 4 wickets in 4 balls, becoming the first bowler to do so in the T20 World Cup tournament and third bowler overall to achieve this feat in T20Is after Lasith Malinga and Rashid Khan.

The Netherlands slipped to 86/6 in 14 overs at the time of writing this piece.
