Kareena Kapoor Khan to unveil T20 World Cup trophies in Melbourne

The mega ICC events will be held in Australia next year.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will be unveiling the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup trophies for both men and women in Melbourne, Australia on Friday (November 1).

Kareena, daughter-in-law of late Indian cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, feels honoured to be a part of the prestigious trophies unveiling ceremony in Melbourne.

She said in a statement, “I am honoured to be a part of this prestigious evening. I would like to encourage all these women out there who are playing for their respective countries to pursue their dreams. It’s truly empowering to see them stand tall on an international platform. They are an inspiration to one and all.”

The actress added, “My late father-in-law was one of the greatest cricketers who played for the Indian cricket team and it is an honour for me to be unveiling the trophy.”

Noteworthy, the Women's T20 World Cup is slated to be held from February 21 to March 8 while the Men's T20 World Cup will be played from October 18 to 15 November 2020 in Australia.
