ICC T20 WCQ 2019: Singapore downs Bermuda; while Oman registers easy win over Hong Kong

The Final of the T20 WCQ 2019 will be played on November 2nd.

On October 20, 2019, two matches of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers matches were played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.

BERMUDA V SINGAPORE, DUBAI

Bermuda won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 149/7 in 20 overs. This was possible due to 34-ball 50* from 44-year-old Janeiro Tucker. Janak Prakash from Singapore took 3/44 in his 4 overs. In reply, Singapore overhauled the target easily for the loss of five wickets which fell for cheap. But Navin Param made 72* in 41 balls with 4 sixes and 7 fours and led the team to the victory.

BER 149/7 (J TUCKER 50*; J PRAKASH 3/44) lost to SIN 152/5 (N PARAM 72*, M SINGH 26) by 5 wickets


HONG KONG V OMAN, ABU DHABI

Oman won the toss and put Hong Kong into bat first. Aamir Kaleem (3/14) and Khawar Ali (3/24) restricted Hong Kong to 102 runs only with Nizakat Khan top-scoring with 31 runs. In the chase, Aqib Ilyas made 37* and Zeeshan Maqsood made 24* to take Oman to an easy win by 7 wickets.

HK 102 (N KHAN 31; A KALEEM 3/14) lost to OMAN 106/3 (A ILYAS 37*, Z MAQSOOD 24*) by 7 wickets
