India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final in Ahmedabad.
Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh was in full swing after the Men in Blue defeated New Zealand in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026 in Ahmedabad on March 8. Arshdeep, who went wicketless in the final, turned into an Instagram influencer and shared some of the best moments on his account.
Before the final delivery of the T20 World Cup final was bowled, Arshdeep Singh had the screenplay for his reels ready. And when he shared them on Instagram minutes after the prize ceremony, they turned out to be incredible hits.
"I've thought of ten or fifteen reels, let's see how many we make," he told Harsha Bhogle when interviewed after India hammered New Zealand by 96 runs in the summit clash.
He started with Sanju Samson, who won the Player of the Tournament. "Paaji, justice milgaya," Arshdeep said with Samson in the frame. Samson had slammed 97* against West Indies, 89 against England, and 89 against New Zealand in the three knockout encounters for India.
He even got India's head coach Gautam Gambhir to featrue in his reel and asked him to smile, with the coach sporting a huge grin.
Then came Ishan Kishan, for whom Arshdeep stated, “Ek Bihari, sab pe bhaari”, after Kishan smashed a quick fifty in the final.
Arshdeep then joined Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah and praised the Player of the Match, saying: “We believe in only Jassi bhai.”
Arshdeep Singh also posted a solo reel: "First time it was so nice, we had to do it twice.”
Furthermore, he shared reels with India captain Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Axar Patel. With Axar Patel, Arshdeep stated: “Ek Bapu ne azadi dilayee, ek bapu ne trophy.”
