The incident unfolded during the Pakistan versus Namibia clash in Colombo.
Some heated scenes were witnessed in the Pakistan dugout as the Men in Green faced Namibia in a must-win T20 World Cup 2026 Group A clash at SSC, Colombo on Wednesday (February 18).
Opting to bat first, Pakistan got off to a good start as Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub put on 40 runs for the opening wicket. While Saim failed to convert the start of 12-ball 14, Farhan and captain Salman Ali Agha ensured that Pakistan stayed afloat. The two added 67 runs for the second wicket, but Agha fell against the run of play for 38 off 23 balls.
Soon after the dismissal, the TV cameras caught an animated conversation featuring Agha and head coach Mike Hesson. When Hesson put forward his viewpoint, it appeared that the Pakistan skipper wasn't pleased and even ended up throwing a water bottle.
Hesson further said something, to which Agha simply nodded. Babar Azam, who was seated in between, wore a sheepish look as the captain and coach engaged in a tense exchange.

Coming to the match, Pakistan posted 199/3 in 20 overs on the back of Sahibzada Farhan’s maiden T20I century (100* off 58). He also found support from Shadab Khan, as the two stitched together a partnership of 81 runs for the fourth wicket.
In reply, Namibia’s innings folded for 97 in 17.3 overs. It was a disappointing batting performance as no one managed to touch the 30-run mark. Usman Tariq starred with the ball for Pakistan, claiming four wickets by conceding 16 runs in his 3.3 overs. Shadab also claimed three scalps.
