India and Pakistan are set to clash on February 15 in Colombo in T20 World Cup.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Rajeev Shukla said, "As I have clarified before, whatever the ICC decides, we will go with that decision. The BCCI has nothing to say in this."
According to Pakistani media, a meeting between the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is anticipated to result in a significant resolution to the deadlock between India and Pakistan in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup match.
According to Geo TV, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to engage with the Pakistan government for specific instructions on the subject, with an official declaration expected soon.
An ICC team led by Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, and BCB President Aminul Islam met in Lahore on Sunday to discuss Pakistan's decision to boycott the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 match against India, which is set for February 15 in Colombo.
The Pakistan government refused to allow the Pakistan team to face India in the T20 World Cup 2026 as they stood in solidarity with Bangladesh after they were replaced by Scotland by the ICC in the tournament.
This was due to the Bangladesh board’s refusal to send the Bangladesh team to India, citing security concerns, and despite prolonged negotiations, refused to budge from their stance. BCB did so after BCCI ordered the removal of Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman from the KKR squad for IPL 2026 amid concerns related to atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh.
