India finished their innings on 289 for 7 in the fourth ODI at Wanderers.
The extra pressure of captaincy may have come his way earlier than expected, but stand-in South Africa skipper Aiden Markram seems to be enjoying his time on the field.
Having grabbed the eyeballs of cricket fraternity with his classy strokes during the recently concluded Test series, Markram gave the glimpse of his remarkable fielding prowess in the fourth one-day international against India at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Saturday (February 10).
Markram plucked a one-handed stunner while fielding at extra cover to get rid of Hardik Pandya in the 47th over of Indian innings. It was a meaty blow from Pandya but the 23-year-old timed his jump to perfection and grabbed it with his right hand. Markram’s superhuman effort saw Pandya falls cheaply (9 off 13 balls).
