India is currently taking on South Africa in the second and final Test in Cape Town.
Young Indian batter Shubman Gill stressed the need to show grit and determination to bounce back strongly in the second and final Test against South Africa in Cape Town.
The right-hander further said that Team India had enough time to prepare after their massive defeat in Centurion, and now they are ready to avoid whitewashing and level the two-match Test series against South Africa in Cape Town.
Speaking about the picturesque venue in Cape Town, the Punjab lad said that it is a delightful experience, especially for someone like him who is playing in South Africa for the first time.
Shubman Gill said ahead of the Cape Town Test: “We got a few days to prepare for this Test. This is a New Year and new Test which will allow us to come back in the series. It's very important to be there mentally. You just have to let your grit, your determination take over. It's not much about skills while playing here. It's about taking the grit and the determination you show while batting.”
Gill signed off by saying, “This is a great opportunity for us to level the series. All of us are very well prepared and really looking forward to leveling the series. It's lovely to be here. This is my first trip to South Africa and it is a great sight here in Cape Town. With mountains on one side, it is really a pleasing sight.”
Notably, Gill had scored only 28 runs across two innings during India’s innings and 32 runs defeat in the first Test against South Africa last week in Centurion.
