Suryakumar arrived in the middle when the visitors were struggling 29/2 in the third over. Amid the pressure situation, the dashing right-hander put on 112 runs for the fourth wicket with Yashasvi Jaiswal to bail India out of trouble.
While Jaiswal got out after scoring 60 off 41 balls, Surya held the one end firmly. The Indian captain notched up his half-century in 32 balls and continued his carnage to reach the three-figure mark in 55 deliveries.
With this knock, Suryakumar Yadav joined Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell to lead the list with four T20I centuries each.
Surya got out on the second delivery of the final over for 100 off 56 balls, including 7 fours and 8 sixes. Thanks to his dazzling ton, the Men in Blue piled up a mammoth 201/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
