All the major stats and facts ahead of the fourth ODI between South Africa and Sri Lanka in Port Elizabeth.
Having already won the series, South Africa will look to experiment when they take on Sri Lanka in the fourth ODI at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth. This has been a one sided series so far as the hosts comfortably decimated the visitors in each of the first three ODIs and given both the sides form, South Africa should continue to do their job. Quinton de Kock has been outstanding with bat and has scored fifty plus scores in all three ODIs including a hundred. Faf du Plessis too has had a good series so far but South Africa's biggest concern is their lower middle order as number 5, 6 and 7 batsmen haven't converted their starts into big knocks. Because of this they are unable to post a big total on the board despite having a good start and they'll hope that JP Duminy who is making his comeback after six months, will solve it. In bowling, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortze and Imran Tahir have been excellent so far.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka is totally clueless right now and they need to raise their levels to even put up a fight. Their batsmen are struggling to convert their starts. Kusal Mendis, Oshada Fernando, Avishka Fernando, Dananjaya de Silva etc have to take responsbility and if they convert their starts into big knocks. Niroshan Dickwell has to take advantage of first powerplay and if he gives a good quick start then Sri Lanka will have a good chance of putting South Africa on backfoot. In bowling Lasith Malinga, Isru Udana, Akila Dananjaya need to lead from the front.
Team News -
