India will play the second ODI of the five-game series in Wellington on November 7.
During the transit, a video of a warm exchange between Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian team, and Virat Kohli, the ace Indian batter, has gone viral on social media. The clip captures the moment between the two legends of Indian cricket as Kohli celebrates his 38th birthday on Thursday (November 5).
Kohli was standing in the aisle, and Gambhir was seated beside the window seat. He had on headphones, a cap, and the team's training gear. The leader of the Indian team management was having a conversation with the right-handed batter.
Gambhir was spotted listening to the former captain and laughing in reaction to Kohli's hand movements. Both the players and the coaching staff were observing the two and taking pleasure in their playful banter.
Here are the video and photos of the same interaction:
This video brings out the chemistry between Virat and Gambhir, who have been rivals during their league matches in the Indian Premier League. The two players have spent years in the same dressing room as they represent Delhi in domestic cricket and India internationally.
