NZ v IND 2019: WATCH – Shikhar Dhawan flaunts his ‘bhangra’ skills to the tunes of Bharat Army’s drum

With 188 runs to his name, Dhawan was the second leading run-getter in the ODI series.

Shikhar Dhawan rarely misses a chance to show off his bhangra skills, whether it is on the cricket field or at some function. On Sunday (February 3), the southpaw moved his legs after the fifth ODI against New Zealand.

After a major blip in the fourth ODI, Team India made a resounding comeback to register a convincing 35-run victory over Black Caps in the final one-dayer in Wellington.

Following the win, Dhawan was walking around the ground before he stopped mid-way and noticed that Team India’s fan group ‘Bharat Army’ playing the drum. The Indian opener then couldn't resist himself and started to dance on tunes of Bharat Army’s drum beats. He even finished the dance with his unique thigh-slap celebration.

Bharat Army posted the video of Shikhar’s dance on their Twitter account saying, "Shikhar Dhawan dancing to the tune of the Bharat Army Dhol in Wellington!"

Dhawan was the second leading run-getter in this series behind Ambati Rayudu. The left-hander amassed 188 runs in 5 ODIs at an average of 47 whereas Rayudu finished the series with 190 runs at 63.33.

India and New Zealand will now face each other in a three-match T20I series, starting on Wednesday (February 6) in Wellington.
