On a tough batting surface India opted to bat first and once again they started off very poorly and lost 4 wickets for just 18 runs. Ambati Rayudu (90) and Vijay Shankar (45) rebuilt the innings and added 98 runs for the fifth wicket and at the end Kedhar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya also chipped in and helped India to post a good total of 252.
