Mohammed Siraj took seven wickets in two innings and was duly rewarded on the updated Test bowlers’ rankings, rising three spots to 12th overall and setting a new career-best rating in the process. Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm spinner, jumps seven spots to equal 21st after four wickets in Ahmedabad.
In the latest ICC Test batting rankings, veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja gained a career high rating and moved to the 25th spot after gaining six spots. This was thanks to his Player of the Match performance, including an unbeaten century.
Opener KL Rahul hammered a century as well and moved to 35th overall on the list for Test batters.
Jadeja also extends his lead at the top of the Test all-rounder rankings, with India teammate Washington Sundar nearly joining his more experienced partner within the top ten after climbing four spaces to 11th overall.
Coming to ICC T20I rankings, Mitchell Marsh moved up 13 places to equal 10th overall, scoring 197 runs from three innings. Tim Robinson of New Zealand is also on the rise, moving up 58 places to tie 22nd after scoring a century in his maiden game. Bangladesh's Saif Hassan rose to 18th place after scoring an undefeated half-century in the final match of their series against Afghanistan.
