Dream11 exited from Team India sponsorship after Online betting bill came into power.
The sponsorship period will last until 2027, during which time up to 130 games will take place. As per the Times of India report, the other two bidders who attended the table were Canva and JK Tyres.
Dream11's previous payment of Rs 4 crore will be surpassed by Apollo Tyres' Rs 4.5 crore per match to the BCCI. Given India's busy international cricket schedule, the partnership is expected to give the tyre manufacturer a great deal of international exposure.
BCCI issued an Expression of Interest call for bids on the lead sponsor rights for the Indian squad on September 2. On September 16, the jersey sponsorship bidding process took place, and it is also known that Birla Optus Paints appeared eager to invest but declined to take part in the bidding procedure.
In that release, the Indian cricket board had made it clear that gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco brands were prohibited from bidding. Athleisure and sportswear manufacturers, banking, financial companies, non-alcoholic cold beverages, fans, mixer grinders, safety locks, and insurance companies were also not eligible.
The Indian women's team is currently without a sponsor in the three-match ODI series against Australia, and the men's team is currently without a sponsor in the Asia Cup.
For the forthcoming Women's World Cup, which India and Sri Lanka will co-host starting on September 30, it is yet unknown if the women's squad will wear the new sponsor on their shirts.
