Women’s World Cup 2025 winner will receive a prize money of USD 4.48 million - a 239% increase.
The ICC has decided to provide a massive boost to women’s cricket as they announced a huge hike in prize money for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 to be played in India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2.
The eight-team premier tournament has a total prize money of USD 13.88 million (US dollars), which is a staggering 297 percent increase from the USD 3.5 million awarded in the last edition, which was hosted in New Zealand in 2022.
The entire prize money sum surpasses the USD 10 million total prize money from the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India two years ago.
A decision to implement wage equity was made prior to the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, and this announcement is in line with the ICC's plan to accelerate the growth of women's cricket.
The prize money for the champions of the 13th Women's Cricket World Cup is USD 4.48 million, which is a 239% increase over the USD 1.32 million given to Australia in 2022.
Compared to the USD 600,000 England won three years ago, the runners-up will receive USD 2.24 million, a 273 percent gain. Up from USD 300,000 in 2022, the two losing semi-finalists will each receive USD 1.12 million.
Every group stage competitor will receive a guaranteed USD 250,000, and the winners will receive USD 34,314. The fifth- and sixth-place teams in the second half of the final table will each receive USD 700,000, while the seventh- and eighth-place teams will receive USD 280,000.

The 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup will commence on September 30 with India and Sri Lanka facing off in the opening game in Guwahati.
