India practiced at the Lord's until Saturday, June 7, while Australia began training on Sunday, June 8.
Reports have stated that the Australian team was not allowed to train at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium, the venue for their WTC 2025 final against South Africa, as Team India was practicing ahead of their five-Test series against England, commencing on June 20.
According to a report, the Australian team was informed that the Lord's training site, where the WTC final will take place beginning on June 11, was unavailable.
Although the precise cause of Pat Cummins and his team's rejection is unknown, it has also been stated that the Indian team players, who were in England for a five-match Test series, were training at the same location.
According to a story in Fox Cricket, the Indian squad was granted permission to train at Lord's "at the expense of the Australian team". The report also pointed out that the Indian squad doesn't play their first Test match against England until June 20, even while the WTC final begins on June 11. The third game of the series will begin on July 10 with India's Test match against England at Lord's.
Australian players finally got a chance to test themselves at the Lord's ground on Sunday after being initially refused entry.
Australia captain Pat Cummins later spoke about his team's preparations, plans, and the abuse they constantly get whenever playing at Lord's.
"I think this is the best version of the stadium this morning. There's no one around, which is great. I'm sure it will be much more civil this time around. Things got pretty heated in the middle of that Ashes series, but I think a lot of them will have learned their lesson and I'm sure they'll be very polite,” Australia captain Pat Cummins stated.
Meanwhile, contrary to the Fox Sport report, the Indian team wrapped up their practice at the Lord’s ground on Saturday and have shifted to the Beckenham ground for practice, which is in Kent County.
