Bumrah was present in Coldplay's concert at Ahmedabad on Sunday.
The number of spectators attending the event at the gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium was more than one lakh, with one camera capturing Bumrah’s reaction.
Videos of Bumrah’s wickets against England from the 2024 home Test series were also played on the huge screens around the band. In particular, the clip of the right-arm quick knocking over Ollie Pope with a searing yorker has been played at almost each of Cold Play’s shows in India.
“Jasprit, well, Jasprit, my beautiful brother," the song went. “The best bowler in the whole of cricket; we do not enjoy, watching you destroy England; with wicket after wicket after wicket."

The Bumrah-Cold Play collab triggered controversy last week. In the band’s first show at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, Martin had joked about how Bumrah was standing ‘backstage’.
It became an issue because the fast bowler was reported to be resting after sustaining a back injury during the Sydney Test against Australia earlier this month. In the subsequent show, Chris Martin had to issue a clarification.
“This is very serious. Yesterday, during our show, we said that Jasprit Burmah had asked us to stop the show because he was backstage and wanted to bowl at me. This was not true. It was a lie. I’m so sorry," Martin said.
In the same show, the video of Pope’s wicket was showed on the screens. “With respect and love to Jasprit, No.1 in the world. We hope that we can send love to Jasprit by showing a small clip of India destroying England. Watch this," Martin said.
Bumrah was left overwhelmed to receive a shoutout from Chris Martin during the concert in Mumbai.
"This made me smile! Incredible vibe at the @coldplay concert in Mumbai (from what I've seen here) and even more special to be mentioned," Bumrah wrote on X.
Jasprit Bumrah has been named in India's strong squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 but his availability in the ICC tournament will depend on his fitness.
Ajit Agarkar, the BCCI chief selector, was hopeful that Bumrah would be fit for India's first group stage match against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai.
"Bumrah has been told to off-load for five weeks after, and he won't be available for the first two ODIs against England. We are waiting on his fitness and will know his status in early February from the medical team," Agarkar had told reporters.
