KL Rahul was bought by DC in IPL 2025 auction for INR 14 crores.
Rahul was spotted having fun on the field during the first Test against Australia at Perth's Optus Stadium, stopping the ball at backward point with his foot and juggling it to show off his football skills.
The Indian hitter fielded the ball with his feet and juggled it in the air, kicking it many times before collecting it with his hands. Seeing him play with the cricket ball like a footballer, even the Australian pundits were taken aback and praised the Indian star for his abilities.
After the game, Rahul also shared a clip of him showing his football skills on his Instagram story and asked his new franchise Delhi Capitals owner, Parth Jindal if he has any openings in Bengaluru FC. Jindal also owns the Bengaluru FC team that plays in Indian Super League (ISL).
“@parthjindal got an opening at @bengalurufc?,” wrote Rahul on his Instagram account.
Bengaluru FC took notice of KL Rahul’s post and asked Parth Jindal if they could get KL Rahul on loan. They promised the DC owner that Rahul would be released in time for the IPL 2025.
“Fancy a loan move, @klrahul? Sent you a fax, @delhicapitals. We’ll have him back before the #IPL!,” wrote Bengaluru FC on their X account.
KL Rahul was bought for INR 14 crore by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction. There are hints that Rahul might captain DC in IPL 202, after Rishabh Pant was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
