India and Pakistan last played Test cricket in 2007.
Legendary pacer Wasim Akram has claimed that if a Test series happens now between India and Pakistan, then Pakistan will comfortably beat India on spin friendly pitches. This comes after India lost a Test series to New Zealand 0-3 at home and Pakistan defeated England at home 2-1 thanks to their spinners.
New Zealand created history by becoming the first team to whitewash India in Tests since 2000. On the other hand, Pakistan won their first Test series at home in 2021.
With India's troubles against excellent spin bowling in the spotlight, former England batsman Michael Vaughan and Pakistan veteran Wasim Akram have reignited debate over the likely outcome of an India-Pakistan Test series.
During commentary for Australia's first ODI against Pakistan at the MCG, Vaughan opined that both teams' current form may lead to an exciting match.
"I would want to see a Test series between India and Pakistan," Vaughan remarked, highlighting the potential excitement such a clash could bring.

The conversation took an interesting turn when Vaughan claimed, "Pakistan can now beat India on the turners," referencing India’s recent struggles against spin at home.
Akram echoed the sentiment, adding, "Pakistan has a chance to beat India in Tests now on a spinning track. They have been hammered by New Zealand 3-0 at home."
India and Pakistan last played Test cricket in 2007 and have not played any bilateral cricket since 2012-13.
