Australian wicketkeeper Josh Inglis was booed by the crowd at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground after he appealed for a grounded catch during the fourth ODI against England on Friday (September 27).

During the 17th over of England’s innings, Harry Brook edged a delivery from Mitchell Starc and the ball flew towards the wicketkeeper behind the stumps. Inglis dived to his left to take the catch and the umpire raised his finger in a moment.

However, the decision was sent upstairs to confirm if the catch was clean and replays revealed that the ball had actually bounced before reaching Inglis' gloves.

The crowd was not pleased after watching the replay and they expressed their disapproval by booing the Australian wicketkeeper. They also made chants of "same old Aussies, always cheating".

For his unsportsmanlike behaviour, Josh Inglis also faced the wrath of the cricket fans on social media.

Here are the reactions:

Coming to the match, England defeated Australia by 186 runs to level the five-ODI series 2-2. In the rain-marred 39-over per-side match, the hosts scored 312/5 after being asked to bat first before bundling out the Aussies for a paltry 126 runs.

Skipper Harry Brook (87 off 58), Liam Livingstone (62* off 27) and Ben Duckett (63 off 62) starred with the bat for England, while Pacer Matthew Potts claimed four wickets and got solid support from Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse, who picked two and three wickets respectively.
