Samit is currently plying his trade in KSCA Maharaja T20 trophy for Mysore Warriors.
Samit Dravid, son of former India head coach Rahul Dravid, was on Saturday (August 31) included in the India U-19 squad for the upcoming multi-format series against Australia.
Puducherry will host the three one-day matches on September 21, 23 and 26. Uttar Pradesh’s Mohammad Amaan will lead the India U-19 side.
Following the one-day series, the two teams will lock horns in a couple of four-day matches, beginning on September 30 and October 7 in Chennai.
The India squad for the red-ball series will be captained by Soham Patwardhan of Madhya Pradesh.
Coming to Samit, he is currently plying his trade in KSCA Maharaja T20 trophy for Mysore Warriors. The 18-year-old has failed to make a mark in the tournament so far, scoring just 82 runs from seven innings at an average of 11.71 and a strike rate of 113.88.
However, Samit had a productive time in the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier this year, amassing 362 runs from eight matches to script Karnataka’s maiden title triumph in the event.
