Team India will begin its World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle with a tour of England in 2025. The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday, August 22, 2024, announced India’s five-test match schedule for the same.

India last visited England in 2021 when they played four Tests and then returned in 2022 to complete the fifth Test.

India had led that series 2-1 after playing four Tests in 2021 when England played under the captaincy of Joe Root. But when India returned for the fifth and final Test, England had adopted the Bazball tactics of batting under captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum.

England won that Test in Edgbaston thanks to twin centuries by Jonny Bairstow and chased down 378 runs in the fourth innings to do so.

Meanwhile, this time, India will also be playing five Tests as the series begins on June 20th with the first Test at Headingley. This will be followed by the second Test at Edgbaston on July 2nd, the third Test at Lord’s on July 10th, the fourth Test in Manchester on July 23rd, and the fifth and final Test on July 31st at the Oval.

Not only will the India men’s team travel to England next year, but the India women’s team will also travel to England for a white-ball series.

The England Women's series promises to be interesting, especially after England won the T20I series and India won the ODI title the previous time the two sides played in this country in 2022.

Next year's England Women v India Women's series will start with three T20Is at Trent Bridge, Bristol, Old Trafford, and Edgbaston, followed by three ODIs at Southampton, Lord's, and Chester-le-Street.

The ECB also confirmed that India Women will travel to England in 2026 for a one-off Test at Lord’s Ground.

"It has also been confirmed that India Women will return in 2026 for a one-off Test match at Lord’s – the first-ever Women’s Test to be staged at the Home of Cricket. England Women have played white-ball matches at Lord’s for the past three years, with another scheduled next year, but it will be the first time the ground has hosted a Women’s Test match," ECB said in its release.

Here is the schedule for India’s five-Test tour of England:

1st Test: 20th - 24th June, Headingley, Leeds

2nd Test: 2nd - 6th July, Edgbaston, Birmingham
