A Pakistani user tried to mock Harbhajan Singh over his stance of BCCI not sending Indian team to Pakistan.
Harbhajan Singh gave a sarcastic reply to a Pakistani X user who tried to troll him for his stand over India's participation in the Champion Trophy 2025. Harbhajan had supported BCCI's stance of not wanting to send the Indian team to Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
Pakistan is to host the Champions Trophy 2025 in Feb-Mar next year, but there is still a question mark on BCCI sending the Indian team to the country for the tournament. BCCI has said that it can only decide if the Indian government gives the green light to them to send the team to Pakistan.
On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh came out in support of BCCI's stance and stated that security concerns are still there in Pakistan as you get to witness something or the other every day. He said BCCI's decision to not send the Indian team to Pakistan is right as the safety of our players is our top-most priority.
The Pakistani X user then tried to troll Harbhajan Singh by posting a screenshot of him being hit for four consecutive sixes by Shahid Afridi in a Test match. The user then mocked Harbhajan saying “this is why you have security issues in Pakistan.”
However, Harbhajan Singh quoted the post by a Pakistani user and shared a screenshot from a newspaper from 2009 when the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked by Pakistani terrorists. He used this reference to point out the security concerns within the country and suggested that this was the reason why the Indian team should not travel to Pakistan.
“No not for this . Cricket Mai Jeet har lagi rehti hai. I will tell u the real problem is this . Check the photo . Now get the F…. out of here . F ka Matlab samaj aa gya hoga ya samjau? F means ur name . Plz don’t think what u r thinking th meaning of F. You know what I mean. Peace," Harbhajan Singh posted.
Reports have varied about Indian team’s chances of traveling to Pakistan for Champions Trophy. Even during the Asia Cup last year, that was hosted by Pakistan, the Indian team refused to travel to the country and their matches were scheduled in Sri Lanka.
