Yuzvendra Chahal felicitated by Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini after India’s T20 World Cup win

Chahal was part of the 15-member Team India squad that won the T20 World Cup 2024.

Member of the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning Indian team, Yuzvendra Chahal was felicitated by the Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in a grand ceremony.

Chahal, who was ignored for the previous two T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022 and the ICC World Cup in 2023, made it into the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. However, he warmed the bench in the entire in tournament, as India defeated South Africa in the final in Barbados to become two-time T20 World champions.

The Chief Minister felicitated Yuzvendra Chahal with a shawl and an idol, congratulating the Indian spinner for the team's triumph.

This also ended India’s wait for an ICC trophy since its 2013 Champions Trophy win. India also joined England and West Indies as multiple-time T20 World Cup winners.

Chahal conveyed his appreciation to the Haryanan people and the Chief Minister for their constant support during his cricket career.

As the event came to an end, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his dedication to fostering sports and developing talent in the state to make sure Haryana keeps turning forth elite athletes who can compete on a worldwide scale.
