Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 77* in the second T20I between India and Zimbabwe.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has gained 13 places in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings to enter the top 10.
Among the Indian batters, Rinku Singh and Abhishek Sharma improved significantly in addition to Gaikwad. Rinku, one of the T20 World Cup reserves, moved up four spots to take the 39th position after making an explosive 48* off of 22 balls in the second T20I.
All-rounder Abhishek Sharma, who had scored a duck in the opening game, struck an incredible hundred runs off of just 47 balls in the second game to move up to the 75th spot in the standings.
In the ICC T20I bowling rankings, Adam Zampa (7th), Fazalhaq Farooqi (8th), and Maheesh Theekshana (10th) gaining places after Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav dropped down as they sat out of the Zimbabwe series.
Ravi Bishnoi, who picked 6 wickets in two games thus far including a career-best 4/13, jumped eight places to move into 14th spot. Hardik Pandya lost his No. 1 spot in the T20I all-rounder rankings as he has been rested from the Zimbabwe series as well. India's Washington Sundar entered the top 50 on the back of his quickfire 27 in the first game, and this three wickets in two games.
