In January this year, Keshav Maharaj expressed his desire to visit the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Nearly two months later, the South African spinner on Thursday (March 21) fulfilled his wish.

Taking to Instagram, Maharaj shared a picture of him at the Ram Mandir. He is known to be a big devotee of Lord Ram.

"Jai Shree Raam, blessing to everyone," Maharaj wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

Speaking to Sports Tak earlier this year, Keshav Maharaj had said that he is looking forward to visiting the Ram Mandir.

"Unfortunately, the schedule didn't allow me to visit during the inauguration of the temple. But in the future, I would definitely love to go and see the temple in Ayodhya," Maharaj had said.

Maharaj caught everyone's attention during India’s recent tour of South Africa after the DJ at multiple venue played the song "Ram Siya Ram" when he came to bat.

"My faith in god is very staunch. I always believe that god has given me perspective and guidance and put me in situation where I am today. I am always grateful and give thanks. I am a staunch devotee of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram. So it's the least I can do to say thank you and get me in my zone and make me focused through hearing 'Ram Siya Ram' play in the background. So I sent the request through to the DJ and I am very fortunate that he could play the song for me when I entered," Maharaj had stated in the interview.

Notably, Keshav Maharaj has joined the Lucknow Super Giants camp ahead of the IPL 2024 season. He is not a part of LSG's official squad but will be training alongside them in the nets.
